January 9, 2017

Do you own a DJI Phantom or a 3DR Solo drone? If so, you’ll want to make sure you go above and beyond to protect your drone. Drones can be fairly expensive and this is why you’ll want to consider investing in the DroneGuard BP 450 AW Backpack. This backpack is very sleek and will look awesome with any wardrobe you wear. At the same time, the backpack can carry a large number of items. Having utilized this backpack in the past, I must admit that it works great and holds many items at once. Read below to learn more about my experience with this drone.

Weight And Size

When taking a look at the DroneGuard BP 450 AW, you will find that it is very compact, yet capable of storing a large number of items. The backpack will measure in at 13.4 by 10.2 by 22.1 inches. It weighs just 6.2 pounds. This makes the item lightweight and very comfortable to tote around for a long duration of time. The inside compartments measure in at 12.2 by 8.7 by 16.1 inches. The backpack is spacious, but not overly bulky. And even when the interior compartments are full, the backpack never becomes too heavy. I have crammed it full and it has remained comfortable to carry.

Several Straps

Another thing I like about the DroneGuard is the number of straps provided. It comes with shoulder straps, a hip belt and a sternum strap. When the DroneGuard is completely secured to my body, I know for certain that my drone isn’t going anywhere. It is possible to hike through the wilderness or jog through the park, without the backpack slipping free and crashing to the ground.

Multiple Compartments

The great thing about the DroneGuard BP 450 Backpack is its size. It is embedded with multiple compartments that will comfortably hold the drone and accessories. Each compartment is designed to hold the DR Solo and DJI Phantom perfectly. There is also a slot for personal items such as an iPhone, sunglasses, headphones and keys. It also stores a 10” laptop comfortably, which is a plus for those that refuse to wait to view the aerial footage. The way everything is stored in the bag, it will remain in place during use. When you open the bag, everything will be situation in the same place you put it, which is unlike other backpacks that do not secure items tightly inside.

Includes An All-Weather AW Cover

I am adamant about taking care of my precious drone and accessories. However, I also want to keep the backpack looking new. This is where the All-weather AW Cover comes into play, because it will completely cover the backpack, protecting the fabric from the elements. You can also use the cover, when you are traveling. Just slide it into place, close the zipper and be on your way. When you reach your destination, you can simply remove the cover and place it inside one of the side pockets.
